Recreational Programs
Weekly skills sessions and house league programs for boys & girls ages 4–12
Program Overview
TOP Soccer indoor programs for ages 4–12 offer a fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate soccer experience, led by enthusiastic certified coaches who are passionate about player development.
Our Advanced Development Program is a high-energy skills program using the G-A-G (Game–Activity–Game) model: quick small-sided games to start and finish, with focused technical reps in between. Led by TOP Soccer staff and certified coaches, groups are formed by age and ability so every player is appropriately challenged and supported throughout each session. It is built for players already in, or looking to advance to, the Academy Program at TOP Soccer.
Our Saturday Recreational Program follows a similar model to our spring and fall programs. Age groups are split into Active Start, FUNdamentals and Learn to Train, and athletes are grouped by ability and skill level to ensure an appropriate development environment. Sessions develop core soccer skills such as decision-making, spacing, attacking and defending — all in a fun, inclusive and energetic environment.

New for the 2026/2027 season, the Advanced Development Program gives players already in our Academy program — or interested in joining it — a chance to keep developing through the off-season and prepare for the spring outdoor season. Sessions focus on core skills: passing, shooting, ball-handling, decision-making, spacing, and attacking and defending in a small space. Our professional coaches work with players in a small-group format with live feedback, and each session finishes with small-area futsal-style games so players can apply what they have learned. Spots are limited.

Peel Halton Soccer Association
TOP Soccer is an accredited member of the Peel Halton Soccer Association, the governing body for soccer in Halton. All players must be registered members of the PHSA to participate in this program. Annual PHSA registration fees are subsidized by TOP Soccer, and a portion is included in participant fees.
Call-up opportunities
Players may have the opportunity to be called up to play with a TOP Soccer Academy team at one of their events. If an Academy team is short players, they can look to recreational players to fill roster spots, giving those players a chance to take part in a festival or league game.
Playing-up policy
Players are not permitted to play up an age division unless exceptional circumstances exist. This policy prioritizes player safety; physical, social and emotional development; balanced team environments and equitable competition; and the long-term success and enjoyment of each player. Please review our playing-up policy before the start of each season.
